Lynn Scarlett's May 21 Keynote Address
At the May 21 EPP Section Conference, Lynn Scarlett, Visiting Scholar and Co-Director of the Resources for the Future Center for the Management of Ecological Wealth, delivered the opening keynote address. She discussed three trends that offer opportunities for environmental and public policy mediators and facilitators:
- Shift toward large-landscape tableaus & collaborative governance – including the need to nurture/manage networks of networks over long-term;
- Interface of science, stakeholder collaboration & decision making – joint fact-finding, collaborative values assessment, adaptive management; and
- Green business certifications – development of credible metrics through multi-stakeholder processes.
