About Lauren

A newcomer to the ADR field, Lauren is interested in developing mediation skills as a tool for creating robust water policy, particularly in the areas of sustainable agriculture and transboundary water conflicts. She is a LEED AP working as a project manager for a green building consulting startup, primarily advising commercial building owners. Lauren volunteers on several working groups for the US Green Building Council, and recently concluded a term serving as the vice chair of the USGBC Emerging Professionals National Committee. In addition to green building work, she is an intern at Riverkeeper researching the prospective impacts of industrial natural gas drilling on water quality in the Marcellus Shale in upstate New York. Lauren holds a Bachelor of International Relations and a Master of Sociology degree from Stanford University, and certificates in Community Preparedness & Disaster Management from UNC Chapel Hill and Sustainable Building & Design from Yestermorrow Design/Build School.
